Lampasas County adult education
The Lampasas County Young Farmers met recently at the LISD Agriscience
building and put together plans for the fall calendar. Members will have a
Wildlife Management Educational Program on Thursday, October 13th, 2011 at
7pm at the LHS Ag Building. As part of the annual upcoming Lampasas FFA
Membership Drive and Potluck Meal to be held Monday, September 12th at the
LHS cafeteria(6pm), the Young Farmers will also meet and facilitate more new
members and dues received.
LISD Young Farmer advisor Dr. Steve Forsythe introduced the new Young Farmer
advisors to the group. Ricky Prescott and Courtney Hoff will also work with
the local, TEA chartered, adult agricultural education program. New members
Mitch Ramon, Jeff Rash, Cynthia Smith, Derek Dahlke, and Butch Hodges were
introduced.
The Lampasas County Young Farmers will also have a concession stand on
Saturday, December 1 2012 as part of the annual District FFA Swine Show to
be held at the Lampasas County Show barn. All proceeds are for scholarships
and will benefit deserving Lampasas County FFA and 4-H members.
